Life and World War II Experiences of Stanley Galik (1922-1987)
This site tells two stories. The first chronicles Dad's life as a young teenager surviving the Great Depression, then follows his Civilian Conservation Corps experience and ends with his service in the US Navy during World War II.

The LCI (L) 35
In addition, as a separate story, I have included the saga of the USS LCI (L) 35 taken directly from the Ship's Deck Logs beginning with its commissioning on January 28, 1943 and ending with its decommissioning and transfer to the British Navy on November 15, 1944.
